Highlights of the Month
Here it is - October. There is the smell of fall in the air with the cooling temperatures in the evenings, yet warm enough in the daytime that we can still save money on both our air conditioning and heating bills. And what a month it will be here at Campbellsburg Baptist Church!
Our main event that we have been planning a few months for is our Family Fest on Saturday, October 17th from 4 until 8 PM. We will be having a band featuring two former members of our church, Wendell Woosley, and Billy Washburn. The band is called The Gospel Train and also has Cornell Woosley, Wayne Law, and Loren Johnson as its other members. They will be here from 5 to 7 PM. We will also have popcorn, sno-cones if the weather cooperates, and cotton candy along with a bouncy house. Inside we will have registration for three basket giveaways, one each for a man, woman, and children. We plan a photo session, and will have room games in our educational wing. This will give you, the public, a chance to see the improvements we have made to the classrooms for our church activities. We now have central heat and air-conditioning, so we did away with all those noisy air conditioners. Of course along with the games we will have plenty of prizes and lots of candy.
All of this is in conjunction with the Boo Bash in Campbellsburg that will take place from 4 to 8 that same evening. They will have food trucks and fun for the entire family. They plan to have live music as well.
Perhaps you have noticed the changes in our parking area and the back yard behind the church. We have erected basketball goals across the parking lot, and have set up a tether ball rope and a volleyball net behind the van parking. Now that the weather is cooler, perhaps you would like to engage in a little one-on-one bball or a friendly game of volleyball with your neighbors. You are welcome anytime during daylight hours to check it out.

An Invitation to Sunday Morning Bible Study
What is Sunday Morning Bible Study? This is a time for training; building up the knowledge that you need to bring the Good News to those around you. This training will help you build up the courage you need to do the work that the LORD has for you. He has given each of you a talent. As adults and children grow in Sunday Morning Bible Study, they receive the courage, confidence, and security from God that is needed to do the works that He has for them throughout their life. It is a time for discussions, discoveries, and just getting to know and love each other. Join us in this training for the LORD. Bring your children, neighbors, and other family members. Let's train them for the ways of the LORD.
